Over the coming years, Winterstellar Charitable Trust will be embarking on a project to help protect the unique night skies of Central Otago.
More details of this project will be shared at this year’s Winterstellar Exhibition and events in Alexandra, August 2024.
The Winterstellar Charitable Trust team played an integral part in the success of Aotearoa/New Zealand’s newest dark sky reserve, the Kawarau Gibbston Dark Sky Park. (https://www.gibbstondarksky.com/)
The Kawarau Gibbston Dark Sky Park is approximately 25 sq km in size. It comprises the Gibbston Character Zone and the Gibbston Valley Resort Zone, located between Queenstown and Cromwell in Otago, Te Waipounamu, South Island, New Zealand.
