About the presenter

Professional photographer, educator and environmentalist, Simon Williams has been involved in digital design and imaging for the last 25 years. Over the course of the last decade or so he has focused on developing his photographic achievements whilst being constantly inspired by the mountains
and lakes of the deep south.

Simon uses knowledge learnt whilst reading for his BSc. (Hons) in Physics & Astrophysics to command highly technical yet emotive photographic nightscapes which last year were recognised at the New
Zealand Professional Photography IRIS awards. Based in Queenstown, Simon has recently been awarded the Premier Applied Art Award at the Arrowtown Autumn Art Festival. He also contributes words and pictures regularly to Spoke, Charge and 1964 Magazine.
