Join Simon Williams for a 3 hour workshop in Astro-Photography
Date: 28th August, 2020
Time: 6pm to 9pm
Venue: Alexandra Golf Club
$120.00
Join us for a hands on introduction to Astrophotography workshop. We’ll split this workshop into 3 main parts, weather permitting. An hour or so will be spent in the classroom where it’s warm and light, the perfect conditions to learn how to set up your camera for Astrophotography. As we wander through a collection of images, the process and settings will be unpacked and explained.
Once everyone is armed with some new knowledge and a boost of confidence, we’ll head out to put it all into practice for around an hour. Remember to bring some warm clothes and a head torch with a redlight mode. You should have been able to shoot a few different angles as well as try out lots of settings.
Heading back into the classroom, we’ll be armed with some new images to process, which we will do together at first, leaving you time to test it out yourself whilst help is at hand.
The workshop will be facilitated by Simon Williams who lives in Queenstown and runs a photography & tour business with his partner Emma – AuthenticAs.org. Simon’s BSc (hons) is in Physics with Astrophysics and has followed a career path based around digital design, photography, facilitation and education within the corporate and community spaces during the course of the last 20 years.
